Route of movement of military equipment. Military equipment at the victory parade will follow a clearly defined route. What's the best way to watch a military parade?

Even though the Khodynskoe field was the collection point for military equipment in previous years, this year the area in Nizhniye Mnevniki was designated as the collection point for military equipment. After the square, the equipment will travel along the Zvenigorodskoye Highway, the Garden Ring and Tversko-Yamskaya Street, after which it will stop at Tverskaya. The entire column will stretch beyond Pushkin Square. People who missed the parade can then see the cars return to the rally point. The equipment will be returned via Vasilyevsky Spusk, Kremlin Embankment, Vozdvizhenka, Novy Arbat, Garden Ring, as well as Zvenigorodskoye Highway.

Military aviation will be collected from 8 different airfields in 8 regions close to Moscow, which include: Tver, Moscow, Saratov, Bryansk, Kaluga, Voronezh, Nizhny Novgorod and Lipetsk regions. The best view of aviation will be from the Kremlin and Sofiyskaya embankments, located at the Belorussky railway station and Leningradskoe highway

The route of movement of equipment on May 9, 2018 Moscow: the exact route of the Victory Parade has been approved

The route of military equipment to the Victory Parade, along which military equipment will go to the walls of the Kremlin, has already been approved. This has been the main secret since 2016, but it also became known that the collection point would not be Khodynskoye Field, but a wasteland in Nizhnye Mnevniki. The route of military equipment will begin from the departure point in Nizhny Mnevniki, then the military vehicles will travel along the roads of Zvenigorodskoe Highway, turning left along the Garden Ring, and then head towards Tverskaya Street.

After turning onto Tverskaya, the vehicle goes down to Manezhnaya Square, along which it heads towards Krasnaya. The return route for military equipment will be through the Kremlin embankment, Vozdvizhenka, Novy Arbat along the Garden Ring and Zvenigorodskoe highway. There were also proposed routes passing through Marshal Zhukov Avenue, the Moscow Ring Road and across the Volokolamskoye Highway, straight to Tverskaya Street. The second option was to go through Rublevskoye Shosse, Kutuzovsky Prospekt and through Novy Arbat, Znamenka and Mokhovaya streets.

This route is considered advantageous for the reason that during it the parade could pass by the Arc de Triomphe and Victory Park, where those wishing to see the military column with their own eyes could gather. The Department of Transport also approved a road closure plan, which was already put into effect on April 28 and May 5, during which traffic was blocked on certain streets. And these streets included: Mnevniki, the section from People’s Militia Street along Zvenigorodskoe Highway, Zvenigorodskoe Highway itself, Krasnaya Presnya, Barrikadnaya, Bolshaya Sadovaya, Tverskaya, Sadovo-Kudrinskaya and Triumfalnaya streets

Including Red Square, Kremlin Embankment, Borovitskaya Square, Bolotnaya Street, Bolshoi Kamenny Bridge, Mokhovaya Street, the area from Borovitskaya Square to Vozdvizhenka, Vozdvizhenka, Novy Arbat, the area from Vozdvizhenka to Novinsky Boulevard, Novinsky Boulevard and the territory from Novy Arbat were blocked. Arbat up to Sadovo-Kudrinskaya street, reports the Wordyou portal. For this reason, the operating hours of public transport will also change.

Many residents do not understand why such huge amounts of money are spent on rehearsals. After all, it is military parades that are able to show the strength and power of a state’s military equipment and their advantage over other countries. According to the Constitution of the Russian Federation, the state is obliged to ensure the safety of citizens, which is what it does. And it is at such parades that it is possible to see how the state is progressing and improving in the art of defense in order to protect and preserve the life of every resident of its country.

And even more so at the present time, when Russia is at war simultaneously with Syria and Ukraine, and also given the tense situation in Afghanistan, Iran and North Korea

And even more so at the present time, when Russia is at war simultaneously with Syria and Ukraine, and also given the tense situation in Afghanistan, Iran and North Korea

This year, it was decided to hold the dress rehearsal of the Victory Parade on Red Square on May 6. Another name for the rehearsal has already appeared - a mini-parade, and this is due to the fact that the rehearsal and the Victory Parade itself take place at the same time of day.

The organizers calculate everything by the minute. Security services and police with service dogs will also be in place. The entrances to Red Square will be blocked for the passage of military equipment.

On May 6, Moscow will host a dress rehearsal for the Victory Day parade, writes the portal rosregistr. Closed from 06:00 traffic on the section from Mnevniki Street along Zvenigorodskoe Highway to Barrikadnaya Street. And from 06:30 a number of central streets inside the Garden Ring will be closed.

From 17:00, traffic is limited in the following areas: travel to the Presnya railway station, 3rd Magistralnaya Street, Zvenigorodskoe Highway towards Mnevniki Street in the oncoming lane, Mnevniki Street and Narodnogo Opolcheniya Street. All closures will remain in effect until the end of the event.

This time, the collection of military equipment will not be carried out on the usual Khodynskoye field, as before, but on a site on Nizhnie Mnevniki Street. From there, the equipment will go along the following streets:

  • Zvenigorodskoe highway,
  • Garden Ring,
  • Tverskaya-Yamskaya street,
  • Tverskaya Street – a stop is planned here, then the equipment will move to Red Square.

The return route of the equipment will be different, since it is impossible to turn the column around to pass along the same streets.

Therefore, it will be possible to look at the equipment after it passes through Red Square on the following streets:

  • Vasilievsky descent,
  • Kremlin embankment,
  • Vozdvizhenka street,
  • New Arbat,
  • Garden Ring,
  • Zvenigorodskoe highway.

If we talk about aviation, it will be collected for the Victory Parade from 8 military airfields in 8 neighboring regions (Moscow, Tver, Bryansk, Saratov, Kaluga, Voronezh, Lipetsk, Nizhny Novgorod regions).

It will be best to watch the aircraft fly over from the following places: Sofiyskaya and Kremlin embankments, Leningradskoye Shosse, Belorussky Station.

The dress rehearsal starts at 10 a.m. However, the construction of military equipment on Tverskaya Street will begin much earlier. Here, those who wish will have the opportunity to see “Armata”, “Kurgan” and “Boomerangs”, consider legendary tanks, self-propelled howitzers “Coalition-SV”, the Arctic version of the anti-aircraft missile system “Tor-M2DT”, and armored personnel carriers “Rakushka”.

120 military vehicles take part in the rehearsal, and then in the Victory Parade. For the first time, several more types of equipment will be shown (however, all new items will be paraded only on May 9).

12 thousand people will march in parade formation. These include military personnel, cadets, students of military schools, as well as a combined women’s battalion consisting of students from military universities.

During the rehearsal, and then during the Victory Parade, 73 aircraft will be in the skies over Red Square. The number of planes and helicopters coincides with the number of years that have passed since the victory in the Second World War.

The world's largest military transport helicopter Mi-26, Mi-28N, Mi-35, Ka-52 helicopters will fly through the airspace. They will demonstrate a simulation of in-flight refueling of Il-78 and Tu-160. Then the combat missions will take off, military transport aircraft, bombers and attack aircraft. Two new fighters are planned to take off.

The air parade will be completed by SU-25s, whose task is to “paint” the Russian flag in the sky.
The parade aircraft will take off from eight military airfields located in the Moscow, Tver, Bryansk, Saratov, Kaluga, Voronezh, Lipetsk and Nizhny Novgorod regions.

Many people dream of being on Red Square on May 9, but tickets for the parade are not on sale. You can get into the stands only with special invitations received by veterans, their relatives, officials, distinguished guests from other countries and journalists. Of course, you can watch the military parade at home on TV. From the screen will actually be presented best views from quadcopters, tanks and helicopters. But some people really want to see how T-34 tanks, armored personnel carriers, Yarsy missile systems will drive through the streets of Moscow, and especially how MI-26 heavy helicopters, AN-124 and IL-76 aircraft will fly.

How will the technology go?

Along Nizhnie Mnevniki Street, further along Zvenigorodskoe Highway, turn left on the Garden Ring and go towards Tverskaya Street. Based on the experience of past years, Tverskaya will be blocked from Pushkinskaya to Manezhnaya Square. This section will be closed along with neighboring crossroads. During the parade, you will not be able to go to Manezhnaya Square and the Kremlin Embankment. So you won’t be able to look at the equipment as you would during rehearsals from the sidewalk.

Where to watch

1. Rent a room in the National, Four Seasons Hotel Moscow, and The Ritz-Carlton hotels closest to Red Square. Of course, this pleasure is not cheap. Rooms in these hotels start from 15,000 rubles. In advance, you could look for a daily rental of an apartment on Tverskaya. From the balcony you will be able to examine the equipment and see low-flying aircraft.

2. Those who want to see the equipment will line up in the area Belorussky railway station- at the beginning of Tverskaya-Yamskaya street. You can also take good aviation photographs over White Square.

3. Muscovites call Sofia Embankment opposite the Kremlin an advantageous place. You won't be able to get there by car - it will be blocked for cars. People start taking their seats at 8.30.

4. You can see all the military equipment on Novy Arbat, starting from 10.30-10.40. The Minister of Defense's limousine will travel the same route. There are usually few people here. But we don’t recommend watching aviation here - it’s far away.

5. The flight of planes and helicopters will be perfectly visible from Bolshaya Sadovaya Street.

6. Military equipment from 11.00 you can see it on the Garden Ring.

7. Tanks, armored personnel carriers, self-propelled howitzers can be seen even from private cars on Marshal Zhukov Avenue, Mnevniki Street and Zvenigorodskoe Highway. Residents of high-rise buildings can take photographs directly from their windows.

8. Aviation can be seen not only in the center, but also above Petrovsky Park near the Dynamo metro station and further up to Khimki.

Which metro stations will be closed in the center:

From 7.00 until the end of the parade on Red Square, the stations “Revolution Square”, “Okhotny Ryad”, “Teatralnaya”, “Alexandrovsky Garden”, “Borovitskaya” and “Library named after. Lenin";

During the construction of columns of military equipment and their passage along Tverskaya Street, the exit of passengers from the stations “Pushkinskaya”, “Tverskaya”, “Chekhovskaya”, “Mayakovskaya”, “Lubyanka” (towards Nikolskaya Street), “Kitai-Gorod” ( towards Ilyinka street, Kitaygorodsky passage and Varvarka street).

Dear readers, where do you look at technology and aviation? Leave in the comments the addresses of the places that you think are the most comfortable.
