Portrait of a modern teacher

If a teacher has only love for the work, he will good teacher. If a teacher has only love for the student, like a father or mother, he will be better than the teacher who has read all the books, but has no love for either the work or the students. If a teacher combines love for his work and for his students, he is a perfect teacher.

L. Tolstoy

What should a modern teacher be like? What qualities should he have to teach children in a modern school?

We all know and understand that time does not stand still, but changes quickly, the volume and quality of information, content school programs, textbooks, manuals. The use of computer technology is becoming common in the activities of a modern teacher. Of course, a computer will help you receive and find information, and a book provides food for thought, but only a teacher can teach and educate. The job of a modern teacher is to fill the student’s world with highly moral colors, to believe in the good and see the best in students. The main task of a modern teacher is to teach learning, to make sure that students are able and want to acquire knowledge on their own.

Many students think that “a modern teacher should be knowledgeable”, “should make people interested in their subject”, “respect the opinion of every student, understand a teenager and hear his soul”, “should be ready to provide any help and support in difficult times”, “should be of modern views”, “fashionably and modernly dressed”.

A very important role for the student today is appearance and teacher style. This is no secret to anyone. He should be “young and modern”, “handsome”, “fashionably dressed”, “with a modern hairstyle”. Many may disagree with these words. Many may have questions. What can you do to be young if the teacher is of retirement age?! What fashionable hairstyles if you are not too young for this?! The teacher is the standard of style. No matter what age he is, young, not very old, old or not very old, he should look great. His appearance should be on point. He should always be young at heart.

I will not talk about what a modern teacher should be like in general. I myself was a child and in my fantasies I painted a portrait of an ideal teacher. What was he like? In front of me I saw a kind, understanding, caring person. I wanted the teacher to love me, respect me, and appreciate my slightest success. This is just part of what I dreamed about while walking the long road to school.

What now, after so many years, can change in children’s dreams? Oddly enough, but modern children dream of the same thing. Love, kindness, sincerity, care, affection, emotions - this is what a modern student needs. Exactly these human qualities our children miss it so much. Where can a child get warmth, care, attention? If the teacher does not give this, what will happen to people in the future? Will we turn into soulless robots, mechanically carrying out the assigned task? Coldness, self-interest, prudence, envy will await us everywhere and everywhere.

The image of a teacher for a modern student is taking shape today. Today's schoolchildren are future parents who will shape the next generation's idea of a teacher.

Already in our time, especially in the future, the main task of the teacher is not just to teach, but to teach how to learn, that is, to show the most convenient way to obtain information, analyze it and use it competently.

A teacher who has a pleasant demeanor, and this includes facial expressions, gestures, posture, and communication skills, wins over people. All teacher manners should have one common feature - adherence to pedagogical tact. Personal qualities in the teaching profession are inseparable from professional ones. Today we really must know and be able to do a lot, otherwise we will not be interesting to our students.

Drawing a portrait of a modern teacher, I believe that:

First of all, he must love children. Any, any: noisy and quiet, obedient and capricious, clean, well-groomed and sloppy, pretty and not so pretty. For one simple reason: they are children. A teacher should not be an unfair, unkind, cruel person, because injustice hurts the child the most.

A teacher is a calling, teaching is a service, not a job.

A professional teacher does not go to work, does not sit through school hours, but lives together with the children, experiences everything that happens every day, bringing together painstaking invisible creativity in preparing for lessons, and extracurricular activities on the subject, and all the varied activities together with students. At the same time, he shows a desire to work creatively. The creative activity of the teacher, which presupposes the development of the child, is built far in advance, on a constant basis. creative quest in all types of interaction with students.

A real teacher is interested in the process. He is not puzzled by the interim results. He is interested in the child’s changes, and the teacher is surprised and happy about these changes. The child trusts that the teacher is truly interested in him.

What else should a good teacher know and be able to do? Of course, he must know child psychology, understand the child’s soul and be able to ask himself questions: “Am I always right? If a teacher is indifferent to the child’s inner world, to his experiences, he has no place in school, even if he knows his subject perfectly.

In addition, every teacher must follow the basic statements of pedagogy. Here, for example, is one of them: “Never speak badly to a child about his parents, even if they deserve it.”

A good teacher should be a model of good manners and culture of behavior; rudeness, shouting, and insults are unacceptable at school. I noticed that some children do not react in any way to screams (sometimes they will grumble, “Why yell?”), while others are scared by screaming. Some are used to screaming at home, others are not. But in both the first and second cases, screaming is useless and only causes a negative reaction. It is also difficult for me to imagine a teacher who has poor command of speech culture, who does not know how to competently, tactfully, and beautifully express his thoughts.

The teacher must keep up with the times: use innovations in his work, many different methods must be fluent in the material being taught. But most importantly, he must be a PERSON WITH A CAPITAL LETTER. We must leave negativity outside the school threshold, and bring and sow to children what is good, reasonable, eternal, no matter how hard it is in the soul. It would not hurt to remember folk wisdom in the form of proverbs and sayings: “As it comes around, so it will respond.” Everything that will respond to us in the near future depends on us. We are scared to think about the future, so maybe we should think about who we are raising and what we want to get.

Today, a teacher should be not only a source of knowledge, but also an active participant in the educational process. To involve each child in the learning process, to be able to listen to him, to make him his assistant, his support, to look through the eyes of the student at the problem that concerns him - this is the task of the teacher. Only a teacher who is well versed in the methodology can properly organize pedagogical activity, prepare for the lesson. Nowadays they talk quite a lot and often about innovations in the educational process. School teachers do not have a single, holistic idea of innovation. Not every teacher has comprehended his own teaching, developmental and educational role in the modern pedagogical process. Not every teacher is ready to make the student an equal participant pedagogical process. Not every teacher has yet discovered the primary objectives of teaching.

At the moment we are just immersed in some innovations and pieces of paper. They demand anything and everything from us. They want certain documents from us and in the shortest possible time. Thus, forgetting that we are teachers, not accountants, not managers, not lawyers, etc. We are teachers. Which, instead of some papers, should teach children. Unfortunately, we have now begun to forget about this.

The main change in society that affects the situation in the field of education is the acceleration of the pace of development of society. As a result, the school must prepare its students for a life about which the school itself knows little. It’s hard to imagine what the world will be like, not only school teachers, but also to futurologists. Therefore, the school must prepare its students for change, developing in them such qualities as mobility, dynamism, constructiveness. It is impossible to achieve a new quality of education (new educational results, corresponding to the needs of the development of society) by increasing the volume of knowledge and even by changing the content of knowledge on individual subjects. It is necessary to use another way - changing the nature of connections and relationships between academic disciplines.

From the perspective of the competency-based approach, the level of education is determined by the ability to solve problems of varying complexity based on existing knowledge. The competency-based approach does not deny the importance of knowledge, but it focuses on the ability to use acquired knowledge. The higher the level of education of a person, the wider the scope of activity and the higher the degree of uncertainty of situations in which he is able to act independently, the wider the range of possible methods of activity he knows, the more thorough the choice of one of these methods.

Formation and development of creativity and pedagogical excellence teachers do not meet modern requirements. Modern society requires the teacher to include all participants in the pedagogical process in the implementation of the task of forming a graduate as a competent person capable of self-realization.

In my practice, I identify several forms of students’ assessment activities:

1.Public speaking.
2. Independent practical work.
3. Project protection.
4. Solving problems using information.
5. Participation in the discussion.

I believe that the effectiveness educational process is not possible without the competence of the teacher. The competence of a teacher is the quality of education received by students, therefore the competency-based approach has become widespread in modern educational practice.

In addition to this, the teacher must be creative personality, be literate in your field, be able to use information and communication technologies, constantly engage in self-education. I believe that in modern pedagogical practice To achieve effectiveness in the classroom, the teacher must be a facilitator, i.e. give the student the opportunity to find ways and solutions to the problem himself. This is exactly where we can talk about the Federal State Educational Standard, which is also aimed at such solutions.

Every teacher must constantly improve and “grow” high level, then students will be successful and in demand in modern society.

I would like to remind you of Kalinin’s words: “You must be born a teacher.” It’s hard to disagree with this, because being a good teacher is a talent, and people are born with talent. There is a related principle in the profession of a teacher and an actor: on the one hand, one cannot do without talent, and on the other, both cannot work without a feeling of closeness to those for whom their work is intended. But if the actor feels the breath of the audience as a whole and does not care about the reaction of an individual viewer, then the teacher cannot work even when at least one of the children has disconnected from the lesson and gone into his own thoughts. And this is, perhaps, the most difficult thing for a teacher: to be able to tune all the children into a common wave, so different, each with their own character, mentality, and temperament. Well, how can you do without talent?

We must not forget that every teacher, through his subject, not only teaches this or that subject, he teaches life! Teaches you to be honest and fair, to be able to distinguish good from evil, to be irreconcilable towards laziness, evil, indifference, and cruelty.

It is impossible to teach this to children if you yourself do not possess such qualities; no qualification will help you.

I would like to recall the statement of A. S. Makarenko: “The success of teaching is determined not by the teacher’s talent, but by skill, based on skill, on qualification.” And he's right too. Even if you have excellent organizational skills, be able to find an approach to every child, but if you don’t have the knowledge or it’s long outdated, you’re worthless. So the status of a teacher obliges him to constantly improve, learn, keep up with the times, keep abreast of events, master, and only then will the teacher be interesting to his students.

A long, untouched, untrodden path of work, reflection, joy and limitations awaits those who have chosen the profession of a teacher. This is a difficult, beautiful path! By giving a piece of your heart, your soul, you transform them from small inexperienced chicks into strong, courageous, intelligent birds and release them into the wild, keeping them in sight, tracking the path. How your heart hurts if this path is wrong. How your soul sings if the bird has reached heights.

I would like to end my reflection with the words of V. A. Sukhomlinsky: “The health, mind, character, will, patriotism, and intelligence of a person depend on the teacher, on his skill, mastery, art, and wisdom. In other, different and more understandable words, the present and future of the student depends. Therefore, it is very important to believe in the possibility of successfully raising every child. Boundless faith in man, in his future - this is what should live in the soul of a person who has decided to devote his life to the noble work of teaching.”

“If the teacher has only love for the work.

He will be a good teacher.

If a teacher combines love for

to his work and to his students - he is a perfect teacher.”

L.N. Tolstoy.

Since 1993, I have been working according to L.V. Zankov’s system, which allows students to develop cognitive motivation for learning, create modern ideas about the world around them, and conditions for the development of creative abilities in the classroom and in extracurricular activities.

Therefore, the goal of my work is to create an active personality in the best ideals public life, in the ideals of truth, goodness and beauty.

I consider it my task to develop and enrich the child’s personality with knowledge, skills, emotions, to form the key competencies of students that contribute to the value self-determination of a primary school student,

create psychological and pedagogical conditions for creative development child.

Even the most talented and experienced teachers cannot achieve the desired results if they do not coordinate their actions with the teaching staff, with the interests of children and parents.

To this day, there is nothing more important than including children in collective life in school and society, teaching them a job, helping adults, taking an active position in relation to study, work, and the world around them.

In relation to children, I implement a personality-oriented model of communication, taking into account the child’s personality with its individual, age-related characteristics.

When forming a children's team, I pay special attention to the development of friendly and creative relationships between children. This is facilitated by a system of conversations, classes, excursions, and collective creative activities. When choosing a topic, I take into account the requests of students and parents.

During the entire period of children’s education in primary school, I organize employment for students additional education. So, many children from the team attend music school, dance school, sports clubs.

The boys actively participate in festive events as in the life of a school also on a regional scale. Extracurricular activities help develop communication skills, creativity Guys primary school, bring children closer, understand each other.

I work closely with parents. I prepared a series of lectures for parent meetings that could enrich pedagogical knowledge in raising children. Lectures such as “The laws of family life - the laws of class life”, “Holidays and everyday life of our life” were listened to.

In 2008, declared the Year of the Family, several family holidays were held in our class: “Dad, Mom, I am a sports family”, “Our friendly family" At the request of parents, meetings were organized with the school psychologist, who helped to reveal psychological aspect education and development of children. The class is organized parent committee. Parents of students are my first assistants in preparation extracurricular activities, excursions, preparing the classroom for the new school year.

Educational system of the class- This is a way of organizing the life activities and education of members of the class team. So in the first grade, students look like a “sand painting”, seemingly all together and at the same time, like grains of sand and placers. But help comes from older students - parents and children begin to do group work, learn songs, poems, and draw posters. The connecting link in the formation of the classroom team is the teacher and the parent. Commonwealth: teacher – student – parent is the body that determines success in creating a great team.

I'm a teacher primary classes. I think the word “beginners” speaks for itself. What will be the child's first steps in school life, so will the subsequent ones. This is the truth. And I, like no one else, am responsible for the future generation, this is the essence of my professional and civil creed.

Whether a child’s personality will become free and creative depends on who we feel like when working with children: a warming sun or a cold cloud. If you are a cold cloud, it is one thing... completely different if you are the sun. How every living thing on earth reaches out to sunlight and warmth, so children's souls will be drawn to you, expecting that you will respond to them with your love, kindness, tenderness, and generosity of soul.

« The Teacher must be the heart and the universe, the sun in the vast unknown world for children - this means not descending, but rising to the spiritual world of the students...

Look at the world with your eyes, go with them to the secrets of the unknown. Walk, illuminating their path and warming them with the warmth of your heart “until the last days of the end.”

Pedagogical skill is not an empty matter. “The success of teaching and upbringing is largely determined by the personality of the teacher, his skills and principles.” A.S. Makarenko argued that the teacher is the most decisive figure in the educational process.

Over 26 years of work, I have accumulated a whole set of rules and principles, many of which cannot be found in textbooks. Meanwhile, born of repeated practice and tested by life, these principles of faith and truth serve me and may be of interest to colleagues.

Principles born from my practice:
1. A teacher is not the one who teaches, but the one from whom they learn.
2. Each child is a unique individual. I'm very afraid to see my little robot pets. The worst thing is teaching children to uniformity and like-mindedness.
3. Do anything as if it were your “Swan Song”. Don’t repeat yourself, have your own style, boldly move away from templates, don’t copy anyone, look for your key.
4. Security of each child, emotional support. An offensive nickname, humiliation in front of the class, classmates, a harsh analysis of the culprit - these are the sources of children's tragedies. The teacher must sensitively grasp and read the child’s mood by subtle signs, including the eyes, and respond sensitively and in a timely manner.
5. The principle of gentle touch, tactile support. This principle means caring for the child’s personality. Children feel this surprisingly subtly.
6. The principle of three “NOTs”: do not rush, do not harm, do not blame children for their own miscalculations and mistakes.
7. Tolerance is a means of forming a cohesive team.
8. A parent is my reliable friend and helper. Achieving results only through joint activities of Teacher - Parent - Student.

No in primary school children who can be alienated, each of them believes the teacher. There are also difficult situations, unjustified stubbornness of a child, but I try to find an approach to children, to win them over.

The main directions and methods of my work
Areas of work :
1. Cool self-government
Such a component of the educational system as children's self-government has a special influence on the development of a student's life positions. The creation of student self-government determines the natural combination of the child’s social needs with opportunities educational institution. When creating self-government bodies, the class teacher set himself the following goal: attracting every child to participate in public life, increasing social activity and creative potential of children. Each student in the class has his own assignment, which allows him to feel like he is also integral part school self-government. In addition, there are shifts in the classroom creative groups, decide everything critical issues life activity of the team. The alternation of collective creative assignments allows each student to take an active position in building the work of the class, which has a positive effect on the formation of their organizational skills, the ability to manage one’s self, to reveal and develop one’s potential and real capabilities.

Educational work is carried out in cooperation with the school children's organization " City of high school students."

2. Teaching
Target: development of cognitive activity.
Tasks:

1. Formation of the need for self-education;
2. Development of skills and abilities in educational activities;
3. Identification of individual abilities;
4. Development of independent thinking.
Forms of implementation: olympiads in subjects; thematic KVN; brain rings; quizzes; brainstorming sessions.

With the transition to grades 3-4, children's general interest in learning decreases. The motives that prompted him to study in grades 1-2 have already been satisfied, and new ones that meet age characteristics, didn’t work out. In addition, the very conditions of school life are changing. In order to overcome these difficulties, the teacher assigns an important place in his work to regular contacts with subject teachers, daily monitoring the progress of students, and individual conversations are held depending on the situation. All educational results are reflected weekly in diaries. The reasons for the failures are clarified, and after they are identified, the child and parents are individual work, ways to eliminate them are proposed.

According to the results of the school conference "Intellectual-2007", students became first and second degree diploma winners. Take an active part in school competitions in Russian language and mathematics – Artem Raspopov I place, Vika Shorokhova II place, Denis Akimov III place.

Based on the results All-Russian competition“Russian Bear” 1st place in school – Lilya Garayeva, Vika Shorokhova, Lena Kabanova, Artem Raspopov,

and according to the results of the All-Russian Kangaroo competition, Artem Raspopov and Airat Begishev took 1st place in the school, and Vova Chlenov took 1st place in the district.

In the 2008-2009 academic year, according to the results of the All-Russian Youth Championship “Start”, 1st place in the school Lena Kabanova, 2nd place Vika Shorokhova, Artem Raspopov, 3rd place Lilia Garayeva

3. Diagnostics .
With the help of a school psychologist, students' levels of adaptation, anxiety, the state of the psychological atmosphere in the classroom, and motivation to study subjects are diagnosed. These problems are brought up for discussion at parent meetings. The diagnostic results show that the level of education of students in this class is above the school average. The atmosphere of goodwill prevails in the class; most of the children feel good in cool team, can freely express their opinions. Students have high degree satisfaction with life at school: they love their gymnasium, they have favorite teachers and favorite school subjects.

4. Working with parents.
The essence of interaction class teacher and parents is that both parties should be interested in studying the child, revealing and developing in him the best qualities and properties necessary for self-determination and self-realization. Such interaction is based on the principles of mutual respect and trust, mutual support and assistance, patience and tolerance towards each other.

Forms of work with parents:

1. survey;

2. conversations;

3. consultations;

4. parent meetings;

5. visiting family;
6. holding joint hours of communication between the class teacher, parents and children;
7. holding joint events.
Parents of this class are frequent guests at cultural and sporting events at both the classroom and school level.

Working together allows us to find solutions to difficult educational situations. As the results of the survey show, parents believe that a favorable moral and psychological climate has developed in the children's team.

5. Civic-patriotic education.
Priority activity in educational system class is civic-patriotic education. Lessons on courage are held, meetings with veterans of the Great Patriotic War and local wars. The guys are active participants in the rallies, ceremonial lines, shares and “Soldier’s Shawl”, Memory Watch.
6. Valueological education
Target: formation of the need for a healthy lifestyle.

Tasks:
1. introducing children to a healthy lifestyle;
2. training in constructive ways to get out of problematic situations. To implement this direction, events are held: “Mom, Dad, I am a sports family”, “Good habits - healthy image Life", Health Days. Students are active participants in presidential competitions, competitions, cross-country skiing, etc.

7. Moral education
Target: instill moral norms and rules of behavior in society.

Tasks:
1. formation of hard work, honesty, justice, respect for elders;
2. development of the ability to empathize;
3. development of feeling self-esteem and the ability to respect the dignity of others.

Forms of implementation of this direction are: cool watch, conversations about morality, meeting with interesting people, joint events with parents, tea parties, etc.
8.Research activities of schoolchildren
Target: Stimulating the development of the intellectual and creative potential of the personality of a child of primary school age through the development of research abilities.

Tasks:

1. Contribute to the development of children's creative research activity.

2. Stimulate junior schoolchildren development of interest in fundamental and applied sciences, familiarization with scientific picture peace.

3. Promote research educational programs.

In the period 2006-2007, she organized the work of the Small scientific society students of the Iskorka elementary school. The result of the work was the first Scientific and Practical Conference of junior schoolchildren.

The young researchers proved the relevance of their work; the best, according to the jury, were awarded diplomas. Mikhailova Vika 3rd grade. “What are my classmates afraid of?” - 1st place, leader N.Z. Mikhailova ; Dubova Lena, Zaitseva Dasha 4th grade “How does music influence a person?” - 1st place, leader Andreiko I.F.; Antipova Dasha 2 "b" class. “My puppy – ball – drink” - 1st place; Dergunova Katya 2 "b" class - "Water-solvent" - 2nd place; Guryanova Dasha

2nd grade - “My pedigree” - 2nd place, leader N.P. Anisimova; Nigmatzyanov Timur 2 "a" class - "The influence of variable weather on the behavior of aquarium fish" - 1st place; head Shorokhova V.V.

This work was continued in the 2007-2008 academic year. April 11, 2008 academic year At the municipal educational institution “Gymnasium No. 1”, together with the department of pre-university education of OSU, the 1st regional conference for junior schoolchildren “Spark” was held. This conference showed that research activities younger schoolchildren develop cognitive interests, observation skills, logical thinking, prepares children for further more serious research.
All of the above directions educational work interconnected. Throughout the work, the idea of cooperation is clearly implemented. Such work contributes to the achievement of positive results in the educational process.

The emphasis on the process of education today is explained by deep understanding the need for the development and formation of the spiritual and moral sphere of students, where education is a means to achieve the goal - raising a new person of the 21st century.

The formation of a student’s personality in accordance with the presented moral ideal - a guideline in his personal self-development - is the result of education, upbringing and development. (see model of a primary school graduate)

Teacher, be the sun radiating human warmth. be a soil rich in the enzymes of human feelings, and this knowledge not only in the memory of your students, but also in their souls and hearts.

The main thing for me is that the child, when parting with me, wants to meet again. My teaching philosophy is very simple - every child leaves with a victory. One solved the problem, the other came up with a bright story, composed a fairy tale or a poem. He had a creative epiphany. He made a discovery for himself. I rejoice at every victory of every child. It is very important that the child considers himself smart, talented and believes in his strength, in the fact that a difficult, but undoubtedly promising future awaits him.

Give, give the first luck!

Let a person believe in himself!

Let it be in a surge of hot joy

Feel like a descendant of everyone,

Who created, who made the world richer...

Give, give the first luck!

So that, without hiding young pride,

A man like a young eagle

He jumped into the sky and found himself,

Your path in the Universe is marked!

Give, give the first luck! –
These words of the poet M. Kugultinov are my motto in working with children.
To sum it up, I agree: everything depends on skill. And mastery itself is the result of hard work on oneself. If you are going to be a teacher, then be a professional – a master of your craft.

If a teacher has only love for the work, he will be a good teacher. If a teacher has only love for the student, like a father or mother, he will be better than the teacher who has read all the books, but has no love for either the work or the students. If a teacher combines love for his work and for his students, he is a perfect teacher. L. Tolstoy If a teacher has only love for his work, he will be a good teacher. Tolstoy proved himself not only as a theoretical teacher, but also as a practical teacher, as a teacher, and a talented educator. Tolstoy conducted his lessons with artistic skill, emotion, and inspiration, captivating children, discovering the talent in everyone.

Tolstoy assigned a decisive role in the formation of the spiritual world of children to the human and professional pedagogical qualities of the teacher. His work “General Notes for Teachers” represents pedagogical recommendations, many of which have not lost their significance for modern school teachers. Tolstoy considered the main qualities of a teacher: love for children, for teaching work; pedagogical art and talent of the teacher.

“IF a teacher has only love for his work, he will be a good teacher.

IF a teacher has only love for the student, like a father or mother, he will be better than the teacher who has read all the books, but has no love for the work or for the students.

IF a teacher combines love for his work and for his students, he is a perfect teacher.”

Tolstoy demanded that the teacher constantly work on himself and improve his skills. A teacher is a creator and researcher. “Every teacher,” said Tolstoy, “must know that every invented method is only a step that he must take in order to move on” (8, 15).

The development of L. N. Tolstoy’s pedagogical ideas in the modern world is in no way associated with their modernization or anything related to the historical conditions of that time. We comprehend and take what is in tune with today’s school and pedagogy.

In 1928, Tolstoy’s youngest daughter Alexandra Lvovna built a school named after him and was its first director, laying the humanistic principle at its foundation.

Today it is a school-gymnasium named after Leo Tolstoy, which does not recreate the Yasnaya Polyana school of the last century. According to the head experimental work V.B. Remizova, “L. Tolstoy’s School as educational institution a new type" is a metamorphosis of the best that exists in domestic and foreign pedagogy, and Tolstoy here is a symbol of spiritual quest and health; it contains the great wisdom of centuries and peoples.

The concept of this school is based on the idea of developing a physically healthy personality of a child, at the center of which is the personality itself, its internal resources, its abilities for self-healing.

A means of developing a child’s spirituality is a new object - the “Cup of Life”. In the process of live communication with children, different aspects of life are touched upon: the dear Motherland, the planet of people, the culture of eras, the father's house, the inner world of a person, the period of human life from childhood to wise old age and immortality. This subject is not for evaluation, it is designed to create inner freedom, a culture of feelings, understanding and communication.

First-graders not only of this school, but also of other experimental gymnasium schools study from a unique textbook - Tolstoy’s ABC, republished in modern Russian orthography, remaining faithful to Tolstoy’s texts.

The Yasnaya Polyana school-gymnasium abandoned traditional labor and natural history lessons, replacing them with an integrated environmental discipline. Teachers are working on the content and methods of teaching new subjects, imbued with the pedagogy of student-centered learning.

Members of the literary circle of the Yasnaya Polyana school turned to Alexandra Lvovna Tolstoy, who, as fate would have it, lived in the USA since 1929, with a request to answer their questions and received a number of letters in response. Here is an excerpt from a letter dated January 15, 1976

“...No matter how far the Yasnaya Polyana school is from me, it is always close in thoughts and feelings, its students are close and dear, and I will always, until my death, carry you in my heart. How happy I am that work started by me, continues... I wish the main thing - to preserve all the spiritual qualities that my father preached about in his books: love for people, faith in everything bright and joyful, love for all living things and nature” (Teaches, newspaper No. 29, 1990).

If a teacher has only love for the work, he will be a good teacher. If a teacher has only love for the student, like a father or mother, he will be better than the teacher who has read all the books, but has no love for either the work or the students. If the teacher connects in

Welcome to the personal website of the primary school teacher, Gaifullina Gulsina Vagizovna,

What is your job?

I am a primary school teacher.

Our interlocutor begins to remember his first teacher, perhaps he will tell his memories of school and will definitely start talking about how difficult and uncontrollable children are today, how they are not like them back then, like those who studied for 15, maybe 20, or maybe be 30 years ago. This conversation happened to you too.

Then I always continue that it’s not at all difficult for me with children. I love my profession, I love each of my students. An excellent student and a poor student. A C student and a naughty girl. How could it be otherwise? Children are the flowers of life. What is the variety of flowers on earth? Each flower is beautiful in its own way. You just need to learn to see this beauty in every child and make every effort so that he opens up and blossoms.

Stacks of school notebooks, textbooks, manuals and a bunch of methodological magazines - this has been before my eyes since childhood. Heated debates after teachers' meetings. A strict mother is the first teacher. I remember standing at the board, solving a problem. Everything seems to be correct. I dream to myself about an A. And she, smiling slyly, asks: “Did you write the answer correctly?” I'm erasing the answer. As a result: - “Sit down 4.” Arriving home, she explained, “Daughter, don’t be offended. I won't give you a "5". Try to get straight A's in future." The village teacher is in full view of everyone, and her children especially. She worked at the school for more than 40 years, retired as a director, and still leads a huge community service, teaches his former students and their grandchildren already Arabic. At home, her phone never stops ringing. For me, my mother is a role model in a human and professional sense. And for me, the choice of my profession is not accidental. Our large dynasty of teachers begins with Gabdrakhman Valievich Rafikov, the former director of school No. 12 in Kazan.

I was taught pedagogical skills in Arsky pedagogical college. I remember all my teachers with gratitude. We spent whole days at school No. 1 in the working-class village of Arsk. A simple truth was learned: in order to be a good primary school teacher, you need to be able and know a lot. Without a solid knowledge of many subjects, it is impossible to teach. For two years I taught history at the senior level at the same time, but with what pleasure I opened the door to my office in the lower grades! It was then that it became clear that my place was here.

There are many primary school teachers. They are different. Some win with severity, some with gentleness, and some children adore for their humor. But they are all united by kindness and a sensitive attitude towards children's souls. It is impossible to teach kindness only with words and sensitivity from books you read. There must be living role models.

Every four years, excited parents bring their dear children to us, primary school teachers. You can’t hide anything from the attentive eyes of your parents. Every gesture, every word, facial expression is under close surveillance. The teacher has no right to make a mistake. Through persistent, painstaking work, you prove to the child and his family that you are a teacher. You can be trusted. You are a professional. Modern parents understand well that it is from this woman in a formal suit that much will depend in their lives for the next four years. And not only. After all, it is at this age that the future is laid. The future of today's first-graders depends on who was nearby, what kind of microclimate was formed in the class, what knowledge was laid down, how much the child was taught to learn and discover the unknown, how much the child was taught to overcome difficulties. Parents often ask me, “What is the most important thing in raising children?” “Everything is important! Start with yourself. You may have to answer for your mistakes in raising your children in old age. Your old age is in your hands. You need to be demanding. The child must understand and accept your guidelines. Patience and work will grind everything down.”

In the teaching community there is an expression “Teacher”. Do you understand who we are talking about? What a pity for them! And most of all I feel sorry for the children. Lively, trusting communication with children is perhaps one of the main conditions for success and satisfaction from one’s work. A teacher should not “work with children,” but live with them, share joys and sorrows, ups and downs, without allowing falsehood in relationships. At school, a child goes through many life tests. It is very important to have a smart mentor nearby who will always help and support. . A teacher’s kind word, spoken at the right time to a student oppressed by his failures, and his encouraging smile will do many times more than long minutes of lectures and reproaches.

Every child is naturally curious. You just need to skillfully bridle this horse called “Curiosity” and teach the “coachman” to control the horse. And then the child will taste the joy of knowledge and will never give it up. True, the horse was changed to a computer. He jumps fast, but that's the problem. Sometimes it goes where it shouldn’t and the child can get stuck in this virtual world for a long time and will not learn to observe and be amazed at the beauty of the world around him. My task is to prevent this from happening. Computer technology should become a source of information for the child, a tool of labor, and not a toy.

For modern teachers, there are a huge number of sites with ready-made developments, presentations, they teach us the latest technologies. Of course, without the Internet, interactive whiteboards modern school hard to imagine. Modern lesson requires great mental and physical expenditure from the teacher and from the student, but only what is obtained through labor and desire is assimilated for life and is especially valued. “The whole meaning of life lies in the endless conquest of the unknown, in the eternal effort to know more,” wrote E. Zola. And what can create a situation of success in the classroom will help you become a successful person in life. Teacher, teach your child to rejoice in the results of even what you consider insignificant child labor. And the little creature will carry this feeling throughout his entire life.

Society is moving forward, working and living conditions are different. The world is changing rapidly. Human concepts of love and fidelity, goodness and justice remain unchanged. Finally, the admiration for “American” values of life, which have always been alien in our country, has collapsed. We all hope that our country will see economic growth, the development of science, and the restoration of spirituality in the near future. The prosperity of our country is in the hands of future graduates and current students.

Teacher, start with yourself!

You are creating the future!

“If a teacher has only love for what he does, he will be a good teacher. If a teacher has only love for the student, like a father or mother, he will be better than the teacher who has read all the books, but has no love for either the work or the students. If a teacher combines love for his work and for his students, he is a perfect teacher...”
